About Me

Rooster Ron: Since my youth, I have been fond of poultry and raising them. As a kid, I raised all types of bantams and even experimented with raising a clutch of quail under one of my bantam hens, a very successful venture I might add. Today I still enjoy experimenting with poultry and have even tried my hand at raising pheasants with my chickens and have found some success although once the pheasants are released, they seldom hang around and return only occasionally for a bite to eat. Having them last long enough to procreate has been, thus far, a total failure. The chickens I raise today are American Games, Yokohamas, Chinese Lontail Games, and an assortment of crosses between and among these breeds. I don't have a very large operation in comparison to so many other breeders, but I persevere for quality rather than quantity, although I realize that quality, like beauty, is often in the eyes of the beholder. Besides, like any breeder of poultry, you've got to be satisfied with what you raise since these are the birds you must feed, care for, and clean up after. With all this said, please take a peak at a few of my pets.
